Most Anticipated Book to Movies in 2012

I'm a big book nerd, but if there is one thing I love more than books, it's an awesome movie. I definitely could call myself a cinephile (just like my hero, Michael Bolton). Since this is a book blog, I thought I might share with you my most anticipated book-turned-movies in this upcoming year! These are in no particular order.

The Hunger Games
Snow White and the Huntsman (a debatable book-turned-movie, but I'm excited to see Chris Hemsworth, my future husband)
Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter
Breaking Dawn Part II
World War Z

With a fine hand, movies can bring out a book's full potential. Or not, as seen in the case of the Twilight movies--they really didn't have a chance, though.

Rating Guide

Five Stars: I loved this book. I have nothing to complain about here. Five stars are almost as rare as one star ratings in my book, so when I give them out, I highly recommend you check the book out. Five star books are included in my favorites.
Four Stars: This was a really good book. I still recommend it, although there was probably something about the story that didn't quite resonate with me. However, I still recommend that you read the book.
Three Stars: This book was alright/good. I thought there were issues with the story that could've been improved. I probably won't reread the book, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it out.
Two Stars: I didn't like this book. It was pretty bad. Two star books are hard to get through. I don't recommend them. Since I rarely ever give out 1 star ratings, two stars is usually my lowest rating.
One Star: I HATED THIS BOOK. DO NOT READ. One star books usually entail some sort of literary disaster. Books rated this low should be burned or hidden away from society, only to be read by criminals. Seriously, don't read them.

Meme Schedule

Quote Something Sundays -- I flip to a random page in a book off my bookshelves and pull a random quote from that line. I will give you a summary of that book without giving away the title or author. If you can guess the identity of the book and the quote's speaker, then kudos. I reveal the answer the next week.
Fan Trailer Tuesdays -- Fans have this amazing gift of bringing their favorite books to the big screen. Now with all of these new YA books being released as movies (The Hunger Games, Mortal Instruments), I thought it'd be a great opportunity to shine some light on the wicked cool trailers made by book nuts.
*New* Heroine of the Month -- This will be a new monthly meme featuring a heroine that kicks ass and takes names. The HoM will be announced every last day of the month. It will start on January 31st. Check out the completed meme archive underneath the review list archive.
